KYTV (1989 - 1993)

KYTV is a parody of television in general and Sky TV programmes in particular. The show is centered on a privately owned TV station chaired by Sir Kenneth Yellowhammer, hence the name. It depicts many amateurish programmes and frequently satirizes current events, popular culture and commercials, not unlike the earlier comedy programme Not the Nine O'Clock News. The show is comprised of three series with six episodes each, starring Angus Deayton (Coupling), Helen Atkinson-Wood (Mrs. Miggins in Blackadder the Third), Michael Fenton Stevens (The Legacy of Reginald Perrin, Trevor's World of Sport), Geoffrey Perkins (later Head of Comedy at the BBC and amongst other shows also producer of Coupling) and Philip Pope (guest appearances in Only Fools and Horses and Blackadder).
