The Two Ronnies (1971 - 1986)

The Two Ronnies is was a long-running show on British television starring Ronnie Barker (Porridge, Open All Hours, His Lordship Entertains) and Ronnie Corbett. Each episodes is comprised of sketches and parodies by the pair.

Language is a major source of humor, for instance in the sketch where Ronnie Barker dressed as a vicar holds a sermon in Cockney Rhyming Slang or when he reads the "News at Ton", because the letter "e" on the typewriter does not work. Puns and double meaning are often employed, for example in the sketch where Ronnie Corbett complains to the fruit merchant that his Blackberry is not working and receives advise on "launching it from the desktop".
