Following in the footsteps of other great British science fiction comedy programmes like Red Dwarf and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Hyperdrive takes the concept to a new Millennium.
In twelve episodes the viewer follows the adventures of the H.M.S Camden Lock, a space ship that incidentally looks like a familiar landmark building in London. On their heroic mission to "protect British interest in an ever changing galaxy" the crew encounter many alien species who, despite its buzzing café culture and farmers' market, are not easily convinced to relocate their business to Peterborough.
