Do Not Adjust Your Set (1967 - 1969)

Originally conceived as a children's programme, starring future members of Monty Python Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, among the show's audience were also John Cleese and Graham Chapman. Also Starring David Jason (The Top Secret Life of Edgar Briggs, Open All Hours, Only Fools and Horses) the show consists of sketches, music performances and often nonsensical jokes. Animations in the last episode were contributed by Terry Gilliam, who would also contribute the animations to Monty Python's Flying Circus. Like many programmes of this era a large number of episodes are now lost due to the practice of wiping tapes to conserve archive space.
